BELOIT — The relocation of the Stateline Family YMCA is on track to be completed by April 2017, said Doug Britt, executive director.

The Stateline YMCA is being relocated to the historic Ironworks complex after local businesswoman Diane Hendricks donated the property to the YMCA late last year.

Hendricks donated an 80,000 square foot building in the southern portion of the Ironworks complex, which formerly housed the Beloit Corporation.

Currently, Britt said Corporate Contractors Incorporated (CCI), a Hendricks-owned firm, is in the process of sandblasting the property.

Jason Bloomfield, project manager at CCI, said workers will begin concrete demolition in a few days.

Britt said all of the steel will be put in place in about a month.

When the property was donated, Britt said it was worth an estimated $4 million.

“It was an incredible gift when Diane did that,” Britt said. “We couldn’t have done it without her.”
